Garrett Berger To Join BPE Staff


Ballplayer's Edge is proud to announce that Garrett Berger has joined the everyday staff at BPE.
Who is Garrett Berger?
Garrett attended high school in Carmel, IN where he was a 2 sport varsity athlete, baseball and football, All-State in both sports and was Gatorade and USA Today State Player of the Year. He signed a scholarship to play baseball at the University of Kentucky. In 2001 Garrett was selected by the Florida Marlins as their 1st selection in the 2nd round, 60th overall. 2 months after signing he fell victim to Tommy John surgery and ended up playing 7 more seasons of professional baseball for Milwaukee Brewers, Arizona Diamondbacks, Detroit Tigers, and Bridgeport Bluefish (ATL).
In 2009-2010 Garrett was the Varsity pitching coach for Hamilton Heights High School (Arcadia, IN). 2012 Garrett was the Chief Scouting Adviser/ Pitching Coach for a NY based agency and in 2013 was advising over 30 players in the MLB draft, his players earned over 2.5 million in signing bonuses. 2013 Garrett and

Tommy John started the Tommy John Pitching Academy of which he is the National Director. The TJPA is an informational outlet for players, parents, and coaches discussing their vision of the pitching approach that lead Tommy John to 288 victories in MLB over 26 years. Garrett has performed over 5,000 lessons in 13 years and has helped numerous players get into college and professional baseball.

In addition to his outstanding resume and knowledge of the game, Garrett also brings his proven Kinetic Pitching Program. The KPP Program consists of working with Garrett Berger for 32 sessions. Garrett and your player will meet once a week for 32 weeks for an hour each session. Each session will include mental, physical, and throwing aspects of pitching.
Every player will be given weekly assignments of what they need to accomplish to become a better pitcher. Work on their own is almost more important than the information that is provided. These assignments will keep the player on track and provide accountability for the players to reach their full potential.
